Therefore, the Lynx is better at short-range engagements and against tanks, while the LRR seems better at loading and at longer ranges. It can also still hit up to 2,000 meters away from it… But at that point, there’s enough damage falloff to be problematic. That’s right you have the versatility and ability to bust tanks and light vehicles with this bullpup. So, what does the Lynx do better? The Lynx has triple the fire rate, higher damage potential at short ranges, and the ability to load Anti-Armor rounds. With a magazine cap of 5, the GM6 is also forced to reload more often than your standard Lynx. This allows it to be more useful in long-ranged skirmishes, where the GM6 Lynx’s 1500 m range would be less effective. It has a better Magazine cap at 7, is twice as accurate, weighs much less, and has better range (at 2000 m). Why is the GM6 Lynx the better of the two? Well, let’s talk about what these guns do better than one another, because this is a really close comparison. This is specifically thinking about what the game considers to be categorized as Sniper Rifles. This is without taking into mind the Marksmen Rifles, which have great range and rate of fire themselves. ![]() So, there are two Sniper rifles in the game… And the best Sniper in the game is probably the GM6 Lynx 12.7 mm. So, if you have the choice between the two sniper rifles, which one is the best? Our guide to the Best Sniper Arma 3 will attempt to guide your decision-making. 408 – each are incredibly powerful when positioned correctly. Your two options – the GM6 Lynx 12.7 mm, or the M320 LRR. I also haven't made extensive use of melee weapons or explosives, so can't really comment on those. I may need to look into them more, though, there's some potential there. I haven't made a shotgun build yet, though, so take that with a grain of salt.Īssault rifles are okay, but for the most part SMGs are just better on an assault rifle character. Shotguns used to be very overpowered, now they're simply good. There's also a particular handgun that, when properly modded, becomes absolutely top-tier, close to snipers in quality. Handguns can be pretty great for single-target damage with Precision Strikes on Marked targets. Suppressing fire can be absolutely excellent even early on though. It allows you to stun several enemies per turn, letting the rest of your team deal with what remains.īig Guns is fairly decent overall, and has a large spike in strength once you get a Minigun, which can be pretty late depending on where you go and how lucky you are. Fun fact: Trigger Happy can trigger twice a turn if you use an SMG and an Assault Rifle (possibly also just two different SMGs, haven't tested).īrawling is amazing with a mobile build focused on building Strike and mobility - once you get the level 10 perk, anyway. Stormer and Trigger Happy are great perks that allow a fairly basic SMG character to achieve a lot. This requires a fair amount of effort to achieve, though. ![]() A properly built sniper with the Chain Ambush perk becomes a god. But, of course, there's some stronger (sometimes much stronger) than others. In general, every weapon type is viable and usable.
